Lana Shahmoradian is a first generation Japanese-Armenian director and creative director based in New York, working across beauty, fashion, skincare and sportswear. Her visual language and style echoes her background in music, biology, and design — sensorial, movement-driven, poetic realism, gestures to the natural world, interests in working in the realms of wellness and with environmentally conscious brands. Lana's striking use of camera work brings a prominent choreographic feeling to her films. With a background in graphic design, she brings a distinctly graphic sensibility into the world of her films, often bridging 3d animation and compositing with live action. She has collaborated with Glossier, adidas, Bleach London, Stella McCartney, Tory Burch, Bobbi Brown, Mejuri and many more. When she's not in the city, Lana resides part-time in the Catskills where she prefers to spend her time in nature — hiking, foraging, kayaking, and co-developing Off Location, an ongoing nature retreat series for creatives.
